Job Description

1. Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
2. Provide leadership in financial matters and offer strategic advice to the management and board of directors.
3. Supports to make key decisions on capital structure, investments, and resource allocation.
4. Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with Nepalese accounting standards and regulations.
5. Work with senior management team to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
6. Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, inventories management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and regulatory requirements under Nepalese laws.
8. Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with Income tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
9. Lead the process of preparing annual budgets, including operating, capital, and program budgets.
10. Continuously forecast financial performance and adjust strategies as needed.
11. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company meets its operational and financial obligations.
12. Implement risk management practices to assess and mitigate financial risks.
13. Oversee working capital management to ensure business liquidity.
14. Work with legal and accounting teams to ensure tax efficiency while complying with tax laws.
15. Liaise with auditors, ensure audit compliance, and address concerns raised during audits.
16. Lead efforts to raise capital through equity, debt, or other financial instruments.
17. Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions and investors to secure funding.
18. Monitor and control operational costs to improve profitability.
19. Conduct regular financial analysis to assess performance, cost structures, and profitability.
20. Manage company investments, evaluate performance, and make recommendations for future investments.
21. Lead the account and finance team, providing direction, training, and development opportunities.
22. Oversee and collaborate with HR to manage payroll, benefits, recruitment, and compensation, ensuring financial efficiency and regulatory compliance.
23. Foster a collaborative environment that improves communication and team performance.
24. Support business growth by providing financial insights on new markets, product lines, or international opportunities.
25. Manage and implement financial IT systems and tools to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
26. Utilize financial software to provide detailed financial reports and analyses for decision-making.
27. Regularly present financial performance, forecasts, and strategies to the board of directors and stakeholders.
28. Communicate financial results to investors and shareholders, ensuring transparency.
29. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, financial institutions, and government bodies.
30. Represent the company in financial and regulatory matters.

Job Specification

1. Professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, Certified Public Accountant) or a Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within the food manufacturing or related industries.
3. Strong understanding of financial management, accounting practices, and industry trends.
4. Strong leadership skills with personal integrity and the ability to guide and motivate teams.
5. Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills for effective internal and external communication.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and make informed decisions.
7. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, financial modeling, and forecasting.
8. Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure environments.
10. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
11. Ability to work closely with senior management to develop strategic financial plans and business growth initiatives.
